How it works

Five steps, from sign-up to a booked consult

Full walkthrough
  1. Step 1: Create your free profile

Add your bar number, firm, practice areas, courts, languages and fees. It takes about 15 minutes, and you can save and finish later.

  2. Step 2: We check your bar status

A person on our team checks your bar number and reads your profile. Reviews usually finish within about 1 business day.

  3. Step 3: Neighbors send you requests

When your profile fits, a neighbor can send you their request. You see a short preview: the issue, the deadline, the neighborhood and the other side's name for your conflict check.

  4. Step 4: You reply in your own words

Write a short personal note if you are interested, or pass. Up to three attorneys can reply to one request (two if it is time-sensitive), so your reply is seen.

  5. Step 5: Chosen? Then you see everything

When a neighbor picks you, you see their full answers, ask your own follow-up questions and book the consult. Retainers go to your client trust account.

What we ask of you

  • A Texas law license in good standing, with your State Bar number.
  • A reply promise: you choose a window, usually within one business day, and keep it.
  • Your own conflict checks. Each request shows the other side's name before you reply.
  • Honest profile details: your courts, languages and fees, kept current.
  • No outcome claims: no win rates, verdicts or guarantees on your profile.
  • You answer every request yourself. The helper never replies for you.

About 15 minutes to apply

Eleven short steps. Everything saves as you go, so you can stop and come back.

About 1 business day to approve

A person checks your bar number and reads your profile before it goes live.

Live as soon as you are approved

Neighbors can find you the same day. You can pause new requests any time.

Plain rules

What we do not do

How advertising works

We are not a law firm

We do not practice law, supervise your work or join your cases.

We do not split fees

No percentage of what clients pay you and no per-lead fees. Retainers go to your client trust account.

Payment never sets the order

Order is by fit and a daily rotation. A paid placement is always labeled Sponsored.

We do not sell your name as a lead

Neighbors send you their request on purpose.

We do not show win rates or rank attorneys

No outcome claims, and no rankings of attorneys or judges.

We do not reply for you

The helper never speaks as an attorney.

No. Order is by fit and a neutral daily rotation. Payment, results and win rates are never inputs, and a paid placement is always labeled Sponsored and shown apart from matches.

An open spot is a practice area in a court type where no attorney has claimed a specialty yet. Choosing one preselects that area and court in your setup. You can change your areas and courts at any time.

No outcome claims. Profiles do not show win rates, verdicts or guarantees, and we do not rank attorneys or judges. Reviews describe the process, not who won.

We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice. We do not split fees or take a percentage. Retainers go to your client trust account, never to Neighbor Legal.

You choose how fast you reply, usually within one business day, and neighbors see it on your profile. Neighbors can only count on a reply they were promised, so please set a window you can keep.
